Thank you for visiting the AEGA Foreign Ministries web site. The purpose of the foreign department is to license/credential ministers as well as to be an encouragement and help to them as they carry on their ministry duties. We receive many letters every day requesting funds, however, this is not the help that the AEGA Foreign Department can provide to you. If you decide to join this growing ministry, we can promise you this as Directors:
Please take time to carefully look over each section of this web site and let us know if you have any questions either by e-mail or the address on the Contact page. We look forward to having a future relationship with you and your ministry.

AEGA African Conference Report by Bishop Charles Henderson (AEGA Executive Board Member & Director of Foreign Affairs) Each year during the month of March, I make an annual trip to several African Nations. The purpose of these conferences is to conduct annual AEGA ministry conferences, to strengthen the brethren and their ministries. As we meet together, we share the AEGA common vision and its goals. The participants are usually AEGA members. However, we enlist guest speakers from other churches to participate in our conferences. Some of these ministers are from other denominations and independent Pentecostal groups. These trips usually last from three to seven weeks, depending on the needs of the respective countries. I left the U.S. on March 26, 2006. My first stop was Lagos , Nigeria . At that time Senior Bishop Moses A. Oba-Ladele was the Nigerian National Director of AEGA Ministries , Nigeria . Upon my arrival in Lagos , I found Bishop Moses very ill. He went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2006. However, during this illness, he had worked very diligently with our nine Bishops in Nigeria in putting together the sixth annual AEGA Nigerian conference. Bishop Oba-Ladele was Vice Chancellor of Evangel Christian University of America , African Campus. He was also the Vice Chancellor of Omega Bible Institute and Seminary, of America , African Campus. He served as an educational advisor to several schools in Africa . He served faithfully with CAAN. He served with PFN as the General Secretary for a number of years. PFN is the largest Pentecostal Fellowship in Africa . He was an organizer extraordinaire. Bishop Moses was my first convert on the continent of Africa . I met him on my first missionary trip to Nigeria in 1975. He commanded the respect of all those who knew him. He spoke in a demanding voice, yet his words were graceful. When he spoke, people listened. He is greatly missed. The AEGA conference was hosted by; The Grace Mission Church, Canal Estate, Okoto, Lagos . Bishop Dr. J.A. Kaseem is the Senior Pastor. The conference was held from April 6, to April 8, 2006. Bishop Oba-Ladele prepared the opening statement for the conference. All ten of our AEGA Bishops were in attendance. The theme of the conference was; “The High Calling of God.” The graduation and the ceremonies for the awardees were colorful. During the afternoon sessions the chaplaincy of Nigeria decorated me as a four star general, with the rate of the second commandant. This is the highest rate of any American chaplain. This was a special honor for me. Immediately after the conference, I began a rigorous schedule which would carry me to Ogun state, in Abeokuta . There we dedicated the trinity well number two. The well is being dug in Kobape village. Bishop Matthew Bilewu is the Presiding Bishop of this area. Pastor Olafa is the senior Pastor for that area. God gave us a great miracle in the Village of Kobape Village. Some of you have seen the photos of the collapsed building. We made a wrong turn, which now we see was the right turn. God in His divine providence saw that we went in the wrong direction to reach this Village. We arrived hours later due to the wrong (right) turn. They decided to leave and return when we arrived. During the lapsed time, a strong wind blew in (the saints said that it was caused by the witch craft workers in that area) and the total building collapsed. If anyone had been under the building, there is a possibility that no life would have been spared. The Lord spared our lives. On the last day of the meeting, senior Bishop Moses had to be hospitalized due to his illness. The Lome-Togo branch of AEGA is newly developed. The first National Director of Togo was installed, Pastor/Rev. Comlanvi Amessino. The Deputy National Director is Pastor Rev. Yeves Yanick. The first Women for Christ Chapter was instituted under the leadership of Rev. Mrs. Akoussan Amivi. We ordained several new ministers in AEGA at the meeting. On the following Tuesday I left for Accra , Ghana where we were to hold the third annual Ghana AEGA conference. There I was met at the airport by our Ghana National Director, Bishop Dusan Pobee. Dr. Kerry Brooks, an AEGA member from Los Angeles , met me in Accra on or about the 19th of April. The meeting was a great success. The Accra area Women for Christ also held their annual meeting after the AEGA meeting had concluded. Upon leaving Ghana , Dr. Brooks and I were able to visit several places of interest in Europe . We traveled to Germany , Rome and the Vatican City . And upon our return to Ghana , I received news that Senior Bishop Moses A. Oba-Ladele had gone to be with the Lord. I began to make plans to return to Nigeria after returning home from the missionary trip. After we returned home on May 8th, arrangements were made through the AEGA headquarters for me to return to Nigeria to preside over the funeral of Bishop Oba-Ladele. I want to say a special thanks to all of you who gave to make this trip possible. I left the U.S. on May the 23rd to attend the funeral services. These services were well attended. Dignitaries from the government sector The Nigerian Chaplaincy, business, and many churches were in attendance. I was one of the main speakers at the memorial services. Also, I had the privilege to administer the last rites of burial at the grave site. Bishop Moses was laid to rest on the church grounds of Sanctuary of Liberty Gospel Mission. This is the Church that he pastored for many years. Bishop Moses was well respected and loved throughout Nigeria . He was the past secretary General of PFN, the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria. He was also a member of CAAN. He was a four star General in the Chaplaincy Fellowship of Nigeria. Bishop Moses was a great organizer. He was the leader in organizing the AEGA in Nigeria . His wife, Dr. Sandra Oba-Ladele, was always by his side. We appreciate all of you and I must say that I am most grateful to the Lord for my dear wife and partner in this ministry, Dr. Rosie M. Henderson. She is a mountain of strength for me. May our Lord richly bless her for all that she does for the kingdom's sake. I am also grateful to the Lord for our daughter, Tiffany. She has stood by Rosie's side through all of the times when I have traveled in the U.S. and abroad. To God belongs the glory, honor and praise forever. For without Him, none of these things could have taken place. | ||||||
